Tamora Harding-Childs
Color. Connection. Evocation.
Since my early childhood years exploring Alaska’s wilderness, a lifelong love and respect inspired my creative journey. Now, four decades later and still appreciating the rugged environment, extreme weather, and diverse community, Alaska still is home. Rain, snow, or shine it nurtures the daily creative pause that encourages observation and continues the mystery in all things. Naturescapes and color fields in mixed media are the main subjects I create for large scale artwork commissions. Illustrations vary in subject and medium. I am open to proposals for new approaches and concepts that may not be represented on this website. Contact me by email for further discussion.

October- the exhale of seasons, after the fade of ruby red moss and before the first snowfall, is still one of my favorite things. As a child, creative play stemmed from Alaska’s continual rebirth. Long days outdoors, exploration by a quiet river was my forest playground, where memories of wild animals, sledding, and frostbite taught respect and admiration for everchanging naturescapes. Its mysterious synergy continues to shape the foundations in my artmaking practice and a lifelong learning to remember from a child’s perspective.
